I basically ended up being to busy to work on this animation a decent amount of time today, I believe time was my biggest problem with this challenge. Any time I have animated in the past I have usually had a lot of time to focus purely on the animation, In the future i'm probably going to try to dedicate more time to purely animation and try to utilize weekends more. somehow I actually did not lose dedication for this challenge, which I know is a big problem I have had in the past with other projects which I am quite happy about.
Today I shot the animation and and found an easier way to do it, I believe this will be helpful in the future when I'm viewing it, I also decided when i do this challenge next time I will instead make it so i can instantly view it by making some sort of make shift clip for my frames. As I thought yesterday the character was super choppy and weird looking in the animation and I was truly disappointed in myself of how it turned out. Again, like in my last post, I think I need to to be able to plan this out a lot better and probably use more key frames and rather work on all of the animation in one day rather then trying to spread it out because. I believe when I spread it out like i did it made the animation a lot less consistent and unpleasant looking.
These two days I basically did the same thing, I drew the character in by splitting up the frames in which did 4 per day. I have not seen what the animation looks like with the character drawn in but I realized as I was drawing the parts of the character will probably grow and shrink and with the rest of my time I will probably not be able to redraw it with the given time. I think what I will do next time when I animate I will try to manage my time to better and plan things out more.
I did not do to much today. I tried to fix the neck by editing the two frames where it stretches and making it shorter as well as viewed the animation. I believe the animation is near completion, all i need now is to draw the character in, and make sure it is smooth with the character drawn in.
On day 9 I edited the animation a bit. before I took photos of it and played it, to add a few adjustments, such as bending the knees a bit more and attempting to make the body move down with the legs as they bend. I viewed the animation and noticed as the character moves up down the neck stretches and shrinks and the arms sort of twitch in an unlikeable way, I plan to fix this and then view it again to verify that was the last problem.
On day 8 I did not work on the animation, partially because I forgot and when i did remember it was very late at night and I could not bring myself to work on it, but also because I usually busy on Wednesdays.
I worked on the animation for a lot longer then the past few days which is good. I worked on the points I said I was going to work on in the last post. I have yet to see the animation playing with these new adjustments so when I do view it and it has no more mistakes I plan to work on the second half of the animation
Today like the past two days I was unable to work as much as some of the other days. I messed with one of the frames for a while to see if i could fix my head bobbing problem, I now have a basic understanding of how im going to polish these frames over the next few days.
On day 4 and 5 I did not physically work on the animation, mostly because I had caught some kind of cold. Though today, day 5, I watched the animation and made a plan of what I am going to do in the next few days, I'm going to try to add maybe one more frame and see what it looks like without the head bobbing and if i should remove it or not.
